SiwaThe grocery store serves both visitors and residents of the fortress throughout the year, offering everyday food supplies as well as snacks and drinks for a visit. The shop is located close to the main pier, behind the Jetty Barracks.

Accessibility and how to get there

The Helsinki City Transport ferry operates to the main pier throughout the year, and from there the shop is about 100 metres away. The waterbus stops at the Visitor Centre pier during summer, and the shop is about 400 metres from there.

There is a ramp at the entrance. However, the shop porch is rather narrow because the inner doors open into the porch.

The Suomenlinna kiosk

KioskThe kiosk and café at the Jetty Barracks, close to the main pier, sells pastries, ice cream and fast food. The kiosk is open throughout the year, offering souvenirs from Suomenlinna as well as postal services.

The Helsinki City Transport ferry operates to the main pier throughout the year, and from there the kiosk is about 50 metres away. The waterbus stops at the Visitor Centre pier during summer, and the kiosk is about 450 metres from there.

There is a ramp at the entrance and an accessible toilet near the kiosk.

The kiosk is located close to the Visitor Centre and sells ice cream and refreshments in the heart of the fortress.

Also postcards, stamps, key chains and other small souvenirs are on offer.

The kiosk in only open during the summer season from May to September.

Did you know?

Bread and fresh fish were the most important sources of nutrition at the time of the construction of the fortress. People drank beer, but spirits were also a part of the daily ration of the soldiers on construction duty.
