Jetty Barracks Gallery
The Jetty Barracks Gallery, run by the Helsinki Artists’ Association, organises high-quality exhibitions of contemporary art. The gallery promotes visual arts and creates opportunities for experiencing intriguing, emotional and ground-breaking modern art.
The gallery is open throughout the year.

The Helsinki City Transport ferry operates throughout the year and stops right in front of the gallery.
There is a ramp at the entrance. The accessible toilet is located in the Suomenlinna kiosk in the same building.

Gallery Augusta
Gallery Augusta is a versatile art space for exhibitions and events run by HIAP – Helsinki International Artist Programme. The space hosts for example HIAP's annual international summer exhibitions but also other exhibitions, performance events and HIAP Talks throughout the year.

Originally built as a barrack in the 19th century, Gallery Augusta has been renovated beautifully and it offers a wonderful space for various art exhibitions and cultural events as well as workshops, lectures, seminars and festivals. Icecellar
The Icecellar in Suomenlinna is a place for local art and culture persons to exhibit their creative works. Both the art shop and the culture café support these activities. Icecellar is also an excellent, established venue for various and maybe even spontaneous events.

Accessibility and how to get there
The Icecellar is located on Iso Mustasaari, near the Military Museum Manege. The waterbus stops at the Visitor Centre pier during the summer, and the Icecellar is about 200 metres from there. The Helsinki City Transport ferry operates to the main pier throughout the year, and from there the Icecellar is about 500 metres away.
All of the venue is on one floor. The route from the main pier to the Icecellar follows the wheelchair route almost all the way.

Artisans in Suomenlinna
The aim of the association of the artisans of Suomenlinna, Viaporin taidekäsityöläiset ry, is to promote arts and crafts made in Suomenlinna as well as to support and exhibit their members’ work. In addition to the unique working environment, the artisans of Suomenlinna are united by high-quality professional skills and the spirit of arts and crafts.
During the summer season, the Arts and Crafts Summer Shop b34, located on Susisaari island, presents and sells high-quality products and art, such as pottery, textiles and silverware, made by member artists of Suomenlinnan Taidekäsityöläiset artisan association.
The arts and crafts created by the member artists are also sold in the Visitor Centre throughout the year. In addition, the association has a small showcase, Vitriinigalleria, in the Jetty Barracks Gallery, exhibiting products made by the member artists.

There is a ramp leading up to the entrance to the shop. However, assistance for wheelchairs is required, as there are two doorsteps inside the shop.

Ceramic studio Pot Viapori
The Pot Viapori r.y. association aims to develop ceramic arts and crafts and bring ceramists together and support their work. The association also works to maintain professional contacts both in Finland and abroad.
The Pot Viapori studio, located in Suomenlinna, is the heart of the association. The artists working at the studio rent the space from the association. The studio was founded in 1973.

The Hytti glass studio
The Hytti ry association operates a glass studio in the Virtue Bastion on Susisaari island. The association rents studio time for glass artists and artisans.
Glassblowing is demonstrated upon request.

Artisans’ Bastion Hårleman
Several artisan studios are located on Susisaari island, in bastion Hårleman. Some are open to visitors during the summer season. 
The building of the bastion started in 1750, and by 1753 most of the construction was complete. Today, wood artisan Esa Toivanen and some five other artists work in the bastion.
The studios may be opened to visitors upon request.
Art school Maa
The art school Maa, located on Susisaari island, is a private art school operated by a supporters' association. The school offers a three-year programme leading to an artist’s degree as well as some open evening classes. The art school specialises in contemporary art.
