Having a cup of coffeeThe selection of food is influenced by the history of the fortress as well as the marine aspects of Helsinki. Gourmet delicacies, soup lunches, traditional islander foods and exotic wok dishes – not to mention beer from Suomenlinna’s own brewery – are on offer. The price range is flexible, too, and everything is on offer, from a simple cup of coffee and a pastry baked in the fortress to a full three-course dinner. Welcome!

Suomenlinna has its own wine

Did you know?

Suomenlinna has its own wine. The Campuget, a unique wine bottled specially for Suomenlinna, honours the work of ship builder Fredrik Henrik af Chapman in 1760s Viapori.

The red wine has been produced from Syrah grapes in the small French vineyard of Campuget, in the Nimes area. The label on the bottle was designed by the Pro Finlandia-award-winning graphic artist Erik Bruun, who lives in Suomenlinna. The wine is available in all restaurants in Suomenlinna.
