Toy Museum café

The Toy Museum café and its outside terrace are situated in a wooden villa which dates from the Russian period. Tea brewed in the Russian style, coffee and home-made pastries are on offer.

Toy Museum terace
Passing ships and ferries can be admired from the terrace. The Toy Museum is open every day during the summer season. In spring and autumn the museum is open on weekends only. Groups may visit at other times as well, upon request.

How to get there

The Helsinki City Transport service ferry stops in front of the Toy Museum throughout the year. The Helsinki City Transport ferry operates to the main pier throughout the year, and from there the museum is about 500 metres away. The waterbus stops at the Visitor Centre pier during summer, and the museum is about 400 metres from there.

Accessibility

Toy Museum's vitrineThe route from the main pier is accessible with a wheelchair almost all the way. The last part of the route is steep.

There is a staircase at the entrance, but a wooden ramp can be erected when necessary  to allow assisted entrance with a wheelchair. When both of the main entrance doors are open, the doorway is wide enough for a wheelchair.

The inside of the museum is relatively accessible with a wheelchair. The area is spread across one floor, and there are seats in the museum area where you can sit and rest. One of the toilet facilities at the museum is spacious enough for a wheelchair.
