Exhibition by Nordic Culture Point: Barracks B28
“Barracks. Building B28 on Suomenlinna Island – Dramatic history from soldier housing and prison camp to nordic center for culture” is an exhibition that through the history of the building and its surroundings discusses current issues. War, inprisonment and rebuilding of a society are adressed through fates of people with connection to the building.
The exhibition provides a purposeful opportunity for visitors to contemplate war’s effects – historically and in modern times – on Finland, the Nordic region and people that live in war struck areas.
Opening on 29th April at 2 p.m.
The exhibition is open from 1st of May until 3oth of June Mon-Sat from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m (see location on map, number 33).
