A Satellite in Suomenlinna Toy Museum

As of April 2017, Finland has entered the Space Age by launching into space its first own satellite, Aalto-2. To celebrate the occasion, the Suomenlinna Toy Museum has launched its own little satellite, a selection of space toys ranging from the 1950’s to the 1990’s. The newly-opened chamber includes also futuristic toys relating to science fiction television shows, with the emphasis on the British producer Gerry Anderson’s Space: 1999 (Moonbase Alpha, 1975-77) and also on his other shows, such as Thunderbirds.

Exhibition is open as Suomenlinna Toy Museum.
