Esa Toivanen työhuone

Ceramic Studio Pot Viapori, Esa Toivanen Wood Work Room and Glass Studio Hytti open their doors for visitors on Fridays from 12 pm to 4 pm.

Ceramic Studio Pot Viapori was founded in 1972 and has since been the working space for numerous Finnish and foreign artists. The sea, visually exciting island environment and the changing seasons create an inspiring atmosphere. Currently the artists at Pot Viapori are ceramists Johanna Ojanen, Soile Paasonen and Pirjo Pesonen, and glass artist Liisa Ikävalko.

Esa Toivanen’s main materials is wood, which he uses versatilely to create art works. Esa Toivanen gladly tells visitors about his work and the unique wooden products.

In Glass Studio Hytti, visitors can watch glassblowing in action. Glass products made in Suomenlinna are also sold.

At the Jetty Barracks Gallery you can visit art exhibitions by contemporary Finnish artists. Jetty Barracks Gallery is open every day, except on Mondays and during exhibition change.
