Unser lieben Frauen Traum – Somnium Ensemble’s Christmas Concert

Since 2011 has Somnium Ensemble been giving its Christmas concerts in Suomenlinna church.

The fortress island and its lighthouse-church create a unique atmosphere and serve as a gentle break in the middle of the dark and busy season.

The round acoustics of the former russian orthodox church has always been a perfect match with the sound of Somnium Ensemble. Celebrating their 10th anniversary season this year, Somnium Ensemble brings together some of their all-time Christmas favourites. The program centering around Virgin Mary invites to a peaceful meditation with medieval echoes and quiet beauty.
