Safety in Suomenlinna during COVID-19

The COVID-19 situation affects the whole of Finland widely. As a neighbourhood of Helsinki, the same COVID-19 regulations apply to Suomenlinna as to the whole Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Click here to read the instructions on HUS’s pages.

In accordance with the restrictions, a majority of the fortress’ services are closed until the end of April. A few companies serve food and display art. You can find the up-to-date opening hours in the calendar. Go to calendar. Suomenlinna’s conference and banquet facilities are out of use until the end of April. According to the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom’s decision, only half of the maximum capacity of passengers are let on the Suomenlinna ferry.

We ask all visitors to pay attention to the rules and instructions related to the COVID-19 situation on social distancing, hand hygiene, face masks and card payments.
