Visitor Centre

Suomenlinna is one of the most popular sights in Finland with around one million visitors yearly. Visitor Centre is open all year around and can be found at the pink Jetty Barracks building right by the HSL ferry quay.

The staff at the Visitor Centre will gladly give you tips for your visit and provide you with information on the services available and events taking place. You can also pick up the free Suomenlinna brochure available in nine languages (Finnish, Swedish, English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese). The brochure has a map of the fortress and basic information on the history, sights and services on the island. Check the calendar for more information on the times when the services are available.

Free introductory exhibition

At the Visitor Centre you can also visit a free introductory exhibition that provides visitors with good background information about the fortress. Free wi-fi is also available at the Visitor Centre.

Opening hours

Suomenlinna Visitor Centre is open daily, excluding a couple of holidays. Please check the daily opening hours from the calendar. Go to calendar. You can reach the Visitor Centre by calling +358 29 533 8410 or by email info(at)suomenlinna.fi.

Next to the Visitor Centre there is a waiting area for ferry passengers, open every day from early morning to late at night (6 am to 1.45 am). There are public toilets in the waiting area.
